Technical Details
Water is heated to 45ºC & stored in a cylinder pasteurised daily
A 3100L cylinder is utilised, heated & emptied four times daily
The cylinder is heated with a 60kW heat pump, operating twice daily for nominally four hours each period.
The heat pump is supplied by the borehole at a rate of around 100-120L/min
The waste water from the heat pump is circulated around the site to regain heat from the ground
The underfloor heating load is taken from an indirect coil in the cylinder and is circulated round the system at 45ºC
The heat from the waste water from the showers is recovered and used to preheat the cold water feed to the storage tank
