Overview  
The process requires a specialist chiller / heater to provide rapid cooling to -15ºC and then rapid heating from -15º to +200ºC in 12 minutes. Supplying exactly the right temperature cooling / heating medium at the correct point in the process is crucial to a successful production run. Failure costs tens of thousands of pounds in terms of time and materials.

TES had the design skills and ability to provide an innovative solution that not only satisfied the customers requirements but also reduced costs by using previously wasted energy from the process during the heating phase. This range of chillers is now an integral part of the metalizing process.

A multinational company approached TES to design and manufacture a chilling / heating system to be incorporated into their vacuum coating and metalizing equipment that is sold into a variety of industries. The equipment is used for a variety of processes from established industries such as coating food packaging both inside (crisp packets) and out (artwork on drinks containers) to emerging technologies as diverse as manufacturing sheets of photovoltaic cells.
