The Team 
Joe Gasan 
Managing Director 
 
Joe joined TES as Managing Director in 1999, taking over from the previous MD and founder Peter Reed. Joe brings many years experience gained from a wide mix of industry and applications ranging from oil exploration and drilling, electronic surveillance equipment and heavy engineering. 
 
 
 
Joe likes to relax by playing and coaching squash, undertaking long distance cycle rides and reading. He is currently driving his wife and three sons mad by learning to play the banjo.  
Jon Keyte  
Chairman 
 
Jon was born and brought up in Taunton. After graduating from Warwick University with a degree in MORSE (Maths, Operations Research, Statistics and Economics), qualified as an accountant with Price Waterhouse in London. Left in 1994 to take the role of Finance Director in an insurance agency, this was then subject to a successful MBO. In 1999 Jon set up an online new car retailing business, in which he persuaded Virgin to invest the brand and capital to form Virgin cars.  
 
 
 
Within 2 years the business was turning over more than £25M and employed more than 90 people. In 2003 Jon moved back to Taunton to participate as Finance Director in an MBO of Air Control Industries Ltd, a manufacturer of Fans and Blowers. Jon is happily married with three sons, and lives on a 200 acre Crown Estate farm rearing dairy cow replacements and growing wheat as the main crops. When not playing golf, Jon coaches mini rugby at Taunton Rugby Club.  
Margaret Freeman 
Financial Controller 
 
Margaret joined TES in 1986, being responsible for the accounting function within the organisation. Margaret enjoys the daily challenge of working in a highly successful company which has continued to maintain a strong family culture, ensuring a team of very loyal, long standing, highly skilled and motivated people. 
 
 
 
Margaret lives within the boundary of the Dartmoor National Park where she and her husband love to walk enjoying its panoramic views and glorious colours.  
Steve Jones 
New Business Development Manager 
 
Steve joined TES in 2000 as Technical Sales Manager. He started his career in process cooling and refrigeration at the age of 17 as an electrician, progressing to design and ultimately Sales Manager at F & R Cooling. Steve has extensive knowledge of the industry and a wide range of cooling applications. 
 
 
 
Steve is married with 2 children and enjoys skiing, running, 1960's car renovation, and DIY. Biggest DIY plan being to build his own house one day.  
Justin Smith 
Engineering and Commercial Manager 
 
Justin joined TES in 2004 and is responsible for the Engineering Department. As well as designing, Justin’s previous experiences include helping to establish an Air Conditioning manufacturing facility in America and working as an International Sales Manager in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and The Balkans. 
 
 
 
Justin enjoys surfing and in particular, the noble art of longboarding. He can also be heard from great distances badly interpreting punk rock classics on his vintage Les Paul guitar.
